Ellison is a prolific songwriter, and his work reflects influences from the British Blues Invasion, Motown, and Memphis rhythm and blues. The Tulsa-born blues rocker has a heavy guitar shredding sound and cut his teeth performing with Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown in the early 80s! He was in a variety of acts in the 80s like the Box Tops and the Drifters before starting a very successful solo career that has taken him around the world!
